Baby’s Naming Ceremony – Rayleigh, Essex

Jen and her husband booked us for their baby girl’s naming ceremony at The Old Parish Rooms in Rayleigh, Essex. We had already done a few of these, but this one was quite different.

It was a beautiful ceremony which very much involved the family and godparents. They had written such meaningful words and poems to read out, which were very personal to their godchild.

One of the godparents even got out her ukulele and sang a song which she wrote herself especially for the day. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole way through! I absolutely love it when people use their imaginations to do things which are personal.

We were only with them for a short while but still managed to get a huge amount of natural pictures for them.

Jen had previously said that she booked us as she loved the idea of documenting such a special day in their lives, and really liked our style.

The Old Parish Rooms in Rayleigh is a beautiful old school house, which photographs so well! Even though it is in an urban setting, the outdoor pictures still look great.

Once everybody went outside, Sophie walked around shooting some more natural pictures while I did some group pictures of baby with godparents and grandparents, as they had requested them.

We had such a lovely time and once again got to meet a proper friendly bunch of people who made us feel very welcome!

“Angie and Sophie documented our daughter’s naming ceremony at The Old Parish Rooms. They were at the venue for an hour, but in a short space in time managed to capture so many gorgeous candid moments. The number of images we’ve received is really impressive, and we are so pleased to have got them in colour as well as black & white. Excellent value, lovely people and gorgeous photos. What more could you ask for?”
