Today we were honoured to be photographers at Hollie’s Christening at St Andrew’s Church in Shoeburyness.
After a wet and dull week, the sun decided to grace the day and made everything even more lovely. Unfortunately due to a nasty accident on a local road, some important family members arrived late, but Louise – the sweetest vicar we’ve ever met! – was happy to wait before starting the service.
Julie & Aaron, Hollie’s parents, looked so happy and proud during the service, as did her Godparents Kerry, Dave & Tanya. St Andrew’s Church is very small but the light through the stain glass windows was fantastic for us to get some beautiful shots and the mood was upbeat; especially when Louise got out her guitar to accompany the congregation singing “All Things Bright and Beautiful”! Hollie remained happy and content throughout her Christening, she even timed her nappy change request and nap perfectly!
Afterwards, everybody went to The Old Garrison for a yummy buffet and lashings of Prosecco! Full marks go to Couture Cakes By Kosta for THE most gorgeous cake EVER! Absolutely beautiful!
