Family Engagement Shoot – Shoeburyness

This morning we met up with Ally, Jo and their gorgeous boys, Sandy & Angus, in Gunners Park. This was a bit of a pre-wedding shoot for them, but due to them having two small children, we thought that instead of a couple shoot, we would do it family style instead. That way, the boys could get to know our faces and cameras before the ceremony.

The sun was shining and we had THE most amazing sky in almost all of the shots! We utilised most of the area, including the swing park where we got some great pictures of Sandy and Angus playing with Mummy and Daddy.

Then we all went for a walk around the pretty wild flowers by the pond, meeting a very handsome cat, and stopping for some gorgeous modelling shots (he’s a natural!) of Sandy along the way. We finished up at the skate park, which had some cool graffiti, and was nice and empty. This is where we caught Jo and Ally having a lovely kiss at the top of the ramp, while we carried on photographing the boys.

Snack time was next, and it’s amazing how a bag of Quavers can give children enough of a “pick me up” to get them through the rest of the shoot. We got Jo and Ally to sit on the bench with the boys whilst they ate, and got some more gorgeous pictures of them with “Simpsons” style clouds in the background.

It was then time to leave the park, but not before we were shown an archway of trees where Jo and Ally would like some of their wedding pictures taken.

We hugged and kissed goodbye and said that we can’t wait to see them again on Friday for their Wedding day! Since the weather was so warm, they were going stright to the shop to buy the boys an ice cream.

I know we say this alot but it really is true… We get to meet THE loveliest people in our profession, and we feel so lucky.

Just to finish today’s post, we would like to say that Jo and Ally are the most amazing Mummy and Daddy any child could wish for. They absolutely radiate love for Sandy and Angus, and it was a privilege to be able to show that love in the images today.
