Today we revisted Rebecca and Alex, at their lovely home in Rayleigh, Essex. We previously saw them for a newborn shoot, when baby Cooper arrived. We couldn’t believe how much he has changed for their family shoot seven months later!
When we arrived, they had the garden all set up for a day of fun, including a bouncy castle for their other little boy Leo to use up some energy on. We had a right giggle in the garden, when Leo started balls out of the ball pit while we sneakily put them back in. It was a great opportunity for some great action shots. We all moved back indoors when the sun got a bit too harsh.
We love shooting indoors for some quality close ups, so we began with some “in cot” pictures of Cooper in his beautiful nursery. He looked proper cute through the bars, holding with bunny. His personalised bedding was a nice little extra and looked really cool. We then moved into mummy and daddys room to get some natural shots of Leo and Cooper together on the bed. Rebecca told us that Leo had the exact same bunny when he was a baby so we took a picture of them together, showing how much more loved and worn Leo’s bunny was.
Rebecca and Alex wanted some family pictures of them all together, as well as some natural ones, so that’s what we did for them. It may sound strange to some people, but if clients are willing and able, we ask them to gather on the floor opposite a window for these pictures. We find this makes the perfect lighting for close ups, it’s just our thing.
We had a lovely time with the Penton’s and really look forward to seeing them again in the near future!
