Kat and Ian are a really lovely couple and after meeting them on their engagement shoot, we were really looking forward to their day!
We started out by meeting Kat and her bridal party at their suites on the grounds of The Rayleigh Club. There was lots of prepping going on with hair and make up. The cute flower girls were being very good, keeping themselves busy playing games.
Sophie went over to the main venue to get some relaxed pictures of the Groom, Best Man and Ushers while they met and greeted some guests. I was shown up to the Bridal Suite to photograph Kat doing her final preparations. I was amazed at how beautiful it was in there, it was a perfect backdrop!
We were waiting for Kat’s Mum Christine to finish having her hair done, so she could come and help Kat get her dress on. It started to get a bit late, and after looking out of the window and seeing guests arrive, Kat was pleased to see her bridesmaid Erin walk into the room. Christine had been delayed so Erin had stepped in to help Kat into her beautiful dress.
We don’t normally do posed pictures, but once Kat was in her stunning dress, it seemed a waste to not get some with the huge silver four poster bed in the background!
Christine thankfully got upstairs in time to do some last minute adjustments and Kat’s Dad joined them for some lovely Father & Daughter shots when he saw her in her dress for the first time.
When it was time to leave, the wedding coordinator drove over with the executive golf buggy. It had started to rain but not enough to ruin their short drive over to the venue.
I went upstairs to the The Ruby Room to meet Sophie and we set ourselves in position to capture the first time Ian was to see Kat. There were tears when he saw her, and you could see the vast amount of love between them as they said their vows. Such a sweet couple!
Everyone followed the couple down to The Willow Room, where we got some lovely pictures of the newly weds being congratulated by their guests. We also got some close ups of all the things which Kat and Ian had made themselves, including their wedding cake!
Once some bubbly had been drunk, we got Kat and Ian outside for their pictures. It gave them a few moments away from all the excitement. We were able to capture some romantic shots of them by the dovecote. This was something Kat had requested as she loved the doves.
They very much wanted group pictures done. Everyone came outside and we got started on them with the help of Ollie the Usher. He was very helpful, finding family members when we needed them. We tried to get them all done fairly quickly, so everyone could be seated for the Wedding Breakfast.
We left Kat, Ian and their guests to enjoy their three course meal. Whilst we sat in the restaurant with the videographer for our complimentary meal, which was really tasty!
After a short while, we were back in The Willow Room to get the pictures of the speeches. Ian was once again a bit emotional which we loved! He’s such a top guy and loves Kat so much!
It was then time for the DJ to get the music and lights started, while the evening guests arrived. We even stole a few funny shots of people using the photo booth… Well it would be rude not to!
Kat and Ian’s first dance was to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’. It was so sweet to see Ian singing the words to Kat whilst they danced. A perfect end to a perfect day!
♥ Congratulations Mr & Mrs Burch! ♥
