Rachel and Gerrard booked us to photograph their Maternity Shoot in Priory Park, Southend.
Rachel knew Sophie from school, so had seen some of the posts she had put on Facebook, about our photography business.
I was so pleased to finally meet them. Rachel’s gorgeous baby bump was proper big and they didn’t have much longer to wait until the birth.
We walked around the Secret Garden in Priory Park, which was looking lovely! We stopped at various places for Rachel and Gerrard to have a little kiss and cuddle, so I could get some lovely romantic shots for them.
What they didn’t know was that before I left home I had an idea. I called Next to see if we would be allowed to go there after the park, and photograph my couple shopping for baby clothes. They said it would be perfectly okay with them!
I put the idea to my clients and they said they would love to do it, so off we went!
While in Next, they were getting quite a bit of attention from shoppers, and I was in my element. I love photographing people doing normal everyday things.
I didn’t think they would actually buy anything. But as we walked around the baby department, I could see a pile of teeny clothes on Gerrard’s arm, getting bigger and bigger.
I think they enjoyed this part of their Maternity Shoot more than the park. And I certainly loved shooting all of it for them!
I can’t wait to go and visit them again once their baby arrives!
