When I heard that Lauren and Chris had just become new parents, I was so pleased!
Sophie and I had photographed two weddings, which this lovely pair had been guests at. They are a great couple, and it was good to know they wanted a newborn shoot with us.
I always enjoy photographing new babies, but when new parents are involved also, it’s extra special.
Laren and Chris have a gorgeous home, which was obviously going to be a perfect backdrop for their pictures.
They were happy for me to shoot them all just being themselves. That is the perfect job for me! No matter what happens in that hour, gets photographed, and images are very real.
I would never pose a baby. The most I do, is ask you for a lovely big cuddly throw, to wrap messily around them in their nappy. To be honest I wouldn’t actually know how to pose a baby. It’s not something I have ever been interested in doing. I love images which look real, and can look through other good photographer’s blogs for ages.
Lauren and Chris were so lovely to work with. I got lots of natural images for them, including Chris tackling the changing of the nappy. I have to say he did extremely well!
