I first met Sam and Matt while shooting an evening ball which they were attending at the Park Inn, Southend. Back then, they were a very new couple. But now, they are the very proud parents of a gorgeous baby boy.
They had decorated a beautiful themed nursery for Corey. So I made use of my wide angle lens, to show it off in their pictures. For their family pictures we went into Sam and Matt’s bedroom. Beds are always perfect to use for newborn shoots, because mummy and daddy can get nice and comfortable together, and can cuddle, feed and change baby for some natural shots.
I had recently crocheted a red, white and blue blanket which I was eager to use. And fortunately they allowed me to bring it along. Twinned with their pretty bedset, the colours were stunning.
Corey was SO well behaved during his newborn shoot, and I was able to take lots of pictures while everyone had a totally relaxing time.
