Children’s Portrait Session – Southend-On-Sea

I had worked with Lisa a couple of times in the past, and was really pleased to hear from her again!

She wanted to do something a little different this time, a portrait session to celebrate her little girl’s first day at school.

Some clients like me to be with them in the morning while the children are getting ready, and walk with them to the school. These pictures look so sweet and make lovely memories to look back on.

Lisa wanted to do a styled shoot to be different. Her little girl came to Priory Park dressed in her brand new school uniform, and she brought along some props to use. She already had some ideas, and whilst doing the session, we thought of some more.

This isn’t my usual kind of work, as by now you will know that I love natural unposed photography. But I actually quite enjoyed this, as it made a change and the pictures actually looked great!

Even though there was posing involved, her little girl’s cheeky character still shone through.

Her big brother came along too, from cadets, and had some pictures taken in his uniform. That was when I realised how much he had grown since their first shoot with me.

We had such a giggle and as usual, even had a little audience of spectators in the park.

I meet so many lovely families doing this job, and this is one of them!

If you would like to book an outdoor portrait shoot like this, do not hesitate to get in touch.
